Class Project: 3-D Relief Carved Decorations

Cost $315 + blank ($45-$60)

Tools: Safety gloves, knife, an assortment of gouges #3, #5, #7 gouges, ½”, ¼”, 1/8” U gouges and veiners in sizes ¼”, 1/8”, 5 mm, 3 mm, 2 mm, and 1 mm, and a bench hook would be useful. Bob’s class will be a shallow-to-medium relief 3-D type carving. The carvings are designed to be housed in their own frame, which can also be carved if so desired. Beginner to advanced carvers are welcome; some carving experience is helpful but not required. Students will have numerous choices of objects to carve.

Students will work at their own pace with both individual and group instruction.

Tools: Safety gloves, sharp carving tools, V-tools, knives, gouges ( #3, 5, 7, 9 – ranging in sizes from 1/8” to 5/8”), veiners ( 2,3,4,5 mm).
