Subject: Bark Houses

The Mayer brothers are from Colorado Springs, CO. They began carving in 2006, started instructing in 2017, and have been published in Wood Carving Illustrated. Together, they have won several top prizes in carving competitions and have also been featured instructors at several woodcarving events.

Aaron and Andy will be working together to teach your choice of bark house projects. Each will improve or give you new skills, with projects ranging from whimsical to realistic. Learn basic techniques, as well as advanced techniques, such as melding around a found piece of wood to create a new way to display carving, joining two pieces of bark together to create a near-seamless fit, as well as many tips and tricks that will take your bark carving skills to the next level.
